Air Park phase 1

Business Park, WissousDetail of new office buildings

Type of project   New build & masterplan
Client Goodman
LocationAir Park Paris, Wissous
Area75 000m²
Team In collaboration with Aukett Fitzroy Robinson
This project was won along with a developer after a local authority competition and begun, in collaboration with Aukett Fitzroy Robinson, in 2003.  A new business park on a green field site just to the south of Paris, it is very well connected by the surrounding infrastructure situated between the A6 and A10, two principal motorways heading south out of Paris and is also located close to Orly Airport. It consisted of 77000m²  of floor space throughout 11 different buildings over several phases.
The design concept gave each building 3 upper floors and 2 basements but due to the slope on the site some of the basements are open at ground level.  Each building has large clear floorplates with impressive front entrances, lots of natural light set in comprehensively landscaped surroundings.
In consultation with the local authority, a developer in UK (Akeler now part of Goodman) and the development arm of Bouygues in France (Sodearif) completed the first 3 buildings of 17000m² in 2006.

The first phase included 2 office buildings and a Centre de Vie with restaurant facilities next to an extensively landscaped public park built by Bouygues.  Reid Brewin Architects were involved at each phase of the project, from developing the concept, submitting the permit applications, preparing the tender documents and following the works on site to completion.
The second phase was started in 2007 for 3 further buildings totalling 21000m² to provide environmentally low impact buildings.
