Building site visit

March 2010 at our Architectural Practice

The whole team at Reid Brewin Architects recently visited the large hole being dug in Clichy, which is to the north of Paris, to see the progress of the building works on site now that the retaining wall has been completed.  This is a project for a new datacenter for the client Global Switch and it is largest project to date for our practice.

The site cranes have started going up and it seemed an ideal opportunity to fully appreciate the impact and scale of this project.  The construction will last nearly two years with regular on site meetings, client and technical construction meetings with all the consultants concerned.  As the works progress our architects are busy checking drawings to ensure that the construction conforms to the permit application and the client requirements.
