Building works for private clients in France

Buiding works for a private client in France are not regulated and there is no standard form of contract for private building works, which often occur by mutual consent on the part of the client and the architect. Elements of the contract used for public works are often used for private contracts.
By French law an architect has to have direct contract with the client and is forbidden by law to subcontract the design.
