Client's insurance

Masséna concours de logement - Brisac et GonzalezConcours de logement - Brisac et Gonzalez

Insurance of the works (Dommages ouvrage) is compulsory and should be taken out after obtaining the building permit and before the start of building works on site.

Client's should contact their insurance company to obtain proposals, and RB-Architects can provide the technical information necessary to obtain a proposal that is best suited to the project.

Client's are also advised to insure their building from the beginning of the contruction of the building envelope to cover it against natural risks resulting from lightning, bad weather, etc.  Any insurance company looking to insure the building after the works should propose a comptetitve offer for this service.

In addition, for any permit application it is necessary to include a survey of the land showing dimensions of the boundary and levels, especially at entrances. Location of services and principal water supply and drains connections.

It is also advised to contact a local surveyor (BET Géotechnique) to carry out a ground/soil survey for the insurance company.  It also allows the architect to adapt the project and its cost to suit the natural ground constraints.
